This approval is often required when molded GRP gratings are to be used on ships, offshore platforms or other offshore structures. Many shipping companies like to use GRP gratings on ocean-going vessels, for example, due to their high corrosion resistance and slip resistance. With the type approval, we can now prove that our GRP gratings meet the requirements for fire behavior and chemical resistance and can therefore be used on ships.
