We attach great importance to the well-being of our employees – especially in challenging times. The past few years have been characterized by social crises, above all the coronavirus pandemic. “We have mastered this phase together with our workforce. Once again, it became clear that health is our greatest asset,” emphasizes Managing Director Ass. jur.
With this in mind, we have established a comprehensive occupational health management (OHM) system. With a dedicated occupational health management team and a budget set aside for this purpose, employees now benefit from numerous health-promoting measures.
The offers include medical check-ups for early detection and prevention. By the end of 2024, around half of the workforce had taken part in these examinations - the feedback has been consistently positive. "Our employees feel they are in good hands with our medical partner," reports Anna Niestegge, head of the BGM team.
Another component of the health program is a specially developed course on exercise and nutrition - designed in collaboration with an ecotrophologist and an experienced fitness coach. This is accompanied by a bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), which makes individual body compositions transparent and supports personal health goals. Sporting team events such as dodgeball also promote both physical activity and team spirit within the company. In addition, voluntary health check-ups, an annual flu vaccination program, job bikes and support for sports activities at selected facilities are available.
An ergonomic workplace is also a matter of course. The concept of "moving at the workplace" and the use of modern technologies, such as currently tested exoskeletons, make working even more health-friendly.
In addition to preventive measures, we also pay special tribute to loyalty to the company. Since August 1, 2024, employees who have been with the company for at least ten years have received company-funded health insurance.
"We would like to thank our employees for their loyalty and at the same time strengthen their health provision. Should a case of illness nevertheless occur, we will of course provide support," explains Werner Grotholt, Head of Human Resources and Finance.
The health budget can be used individually - for example for preventive dental care, visual aids or naturopathic treatments. Employees also benefit from additional services in the event of hospitalization. If they have been with the company for more than 20 years, the costs of dentures are also covered.
