Stair treads made of press-locked gratings are manufactured in accordance with DIN 24531-1 or DIN EN ISO 14122-3 [load in accordance with DIN EN 1991-1-1 on inquiry] or in accordance with this standard. They consist of a specially shaped and perforated nosing, a tread made of press-locked gratings and perforated sideplates. For easier installation and tolerance compensation, the sideplates are provided with a drilling and an oblong hole.
Perforated nosings increase the bearing capacity of the steps and visually highlight their front edge. This contributes significantly to the safe inspection of the staircase.
