Lichtgitter dimensional and stock treads are manufactured in the same types and surface textures as the corresponding platforms made of press-locked gratings, forge-welded gratings, GRP gratings or chequer plates. This gives the entire staircase a uniform look throughout. The optimum safety of the steps is achieved by inserting a nosing. The steps can be manufactured in the materials steel, stainless steel, aluminum or GRP.

Founded in 1929 as a company specializing in the manufacture of gratings, Lichtgitter is now one of the world leaders in the production of gratings and grating steps. Our grating steps can be manufactured in all designs – whether made of steel, stainless steel, aluminum or GRP material. The nosings with round nobs, notches or a safety step (sanded flat material) ensure slip and step safety. Our grating steps are available from stock, but can also be manufactured individually according to your wishes and requirements.
Our grating steps are made from our Gratings. Vertical bearing bars are arranged parallel to each other and are crossed and connected by cross bars at regular intervals. Forge-welded gratings and press-locked gratings are the best-known grating variants and are manufactured with a T-profile or an all-round binding bar / banding made of flat material. The material most commonly used for the production of our grating steps is steel. However, production from aluminum, glass fiber reinforced plastic or stainless steel is also possible. While stainless steel gratings are predominantly pickled, the other preferred surface treatment is hot-dip galvanizing.our grating steps are made from our gratings.
