Lichtgitter spiral staircases are manufactured in our factory in Pinnow and are therefore 100% “Made in Germany”. Lichtgitter has two systems for spiral staircases for design and structural reasons: Type “LG Standard” (spiral staircase diameters in three standard sizes) and Type “LG Special” (spiral staircase diameters variable up to 3,300 mm).
Spiral staircases type “LG Standard” in hot dip galvanised design are manufactured in a modular system. The standard spiral staircases are manufactured with a diameter of 1600, 1800 and 2000 mm (max. staircase diameter). Available with step design: Gratings and perforated metal planks.
Spiral staircases type “LG Special” in hot dip galvanised design are developed in system construction for self-assembly. These spiral staircases are functionally reliable and reliable, suitable for many uses. Available with step design: Gratings.
You can choose from a variety of mesh sizes for the step design of the Gratings.

Do you want to make efficient use of your remaining floor space and connect two levels? Then the spiral staircases are just right for you! This is particularly popular as it requires the smallest footprint on your property, but still offers a high level of walking comfort. The spiral staircase consists of a central column surrounded by weather-resistant and evenly spaced steps, completing the circle at the upper platform. While the upper platform serves as the starting point, the railing rounds off the staircase with harmonious lines.
The “LG Standard” spiral staircases from Lichtgitter come in a hot dip galvanised design and are manufactured using a modular system. This means that the steps and platforms are bolted to the steel tube with head plates instead of being pushed over them with sleeves. This means that the standpipe and platform can be assembled first. Only in the next step are the steps then bolted to the standpipe and the railing elements with the handrails installed. This modular system enables easy self-assembly. Type-tested by the Ministry of Building and Housing of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, a complex static calculation is no longer necessary in most cases. In our standard version, the spiral staircases are manufactured with a diameter of 1,600, 1,800 and 2,000 millimeters. However, they can also be customized to your individual requirements on inquiry. The usual traffic loads of 3 kN per square meter or 2 kN single load apply to our spiral staircases and spiral staircases of the “LG Standard” type. The treads of the steps and platforms of these spiral staircases are made of Gratings with a pitch of 30×30 millimetres and are therefore maintenance-free and easy to pedestrian traffic even in winter. A higher degree of walking safety can be ensured by using serrated gratings.
In addition to the “LG Standard” model, our range of spiral staircases also includes the two categories “LG Special” and “LG Express“, whereby the express model is suitable for you if your order is urgent. Like the “LG Standard” model, our “LG Special” spiral staircases also come in a hot-dip galvanised version and are easy to assemble yourself thanks to the special system design. Functionally reliable and reliable, this model is suitable for many applications and is manufactured up to a maximum staircase diameter of 3,300 millimetres. In contrast to the “LG Standard” spiral staircases, the “LG Special” model is designed for up to 5 kN/m2 or a 2 kN single load. This type of spiral staircases can therefore be individually adapted to your requirements, and in public areas it can also be helpful if your spiral staircases or spiral staircases are equipped with a protection cage to provide additional safety. These can also be locked so that the spiral staircases cannot be pedestrianized from below. In this way, you can prevent unwanted people from entering. In the private sector, on the other hand, the option of a children’s handrail can be particularly useful to provide smaller users of the spiral staircases or spiral staircases with something to hold on to.
