Straight stairs

Straight staircases, also known as stringer stairs, are straight-running staircase systems in which the steps are supported at the sides by solid steel stringers. This creates a stable and torsional rigidity construction that can reliably withstand high loads.

They are among the most robust and flexible staircase constructions in the industrial and commercial sector. Stringer stairs are ideal for access, escape and maintenance routes as well as for indoor and outdoor construction.

Thanks to their stable construction and great design freedom, they can be individually adapted to almost any structural situation.

Our straight staircases are manufactured in our factory in Pinnow and are therefore 100% “Made in Germany”. Lichtgitter has developed two systems for straight staircases for structural and static reasons:

Advantages of stringer stairs

  • Easy and comfortable pedestrian traffic: all steps have the same depth across the entire width of the stairs, making inspection particularly safe and comfortable.
  • Accessibility and transport: Transporting furniture and bulky objects is generally easier with a straight staircase than with spiral or spiral staircases.
  • Better orientation and safety: A straight course makes it easier to move, especially for children, the elderly or people with limited mobility. Due to their straight course and even steps, straight stairs are considered particularly safe.
  • Accessibility and adaptability: Easy adjustment of width, railing height and handrails; good basis for low-barrier solutions.
