For GRP gratings with a closed surface, a GRP panel is applied to the grating. To do this, the concave surface of the grating is sanded away and the GRP panel is then laminated on. In our products, the panel is usually 3 mm thick. However, the thickness can be adjusted according to customer wishes and static requirements.
Gratings can be finished with a sanded or chequer plate look. We generally recommend the sanded version, as this has better slip resistance than the chequer plate look.
Gratings with a closed surface type GRP-GES achieve serration class R13, while gratings with a chequer plate look type GRP-TR achieve serration class R10.
